NEWSLETTER March 2008
Dear colleagues and friends of the SOCIAL WORK & SOCIETY Network,
SW&S is very pleased to inform you about the re-launch of our Social Work & Society-JOURNAL (SW&S).
New Issue:
Our NEW ISSUE (Vol 5, Issue 2) includes three articles:
- Equality and Diversity in the Dutch Welfare State (van Houten),
- Victim Support in a Changing Welfare State (Svensson) and
- Everyday Sexuality and Social Work: Locating Sexuality in Professional Practice and Education (Dunk)
Moreover we are happy to present you an essay on Poverty in Israel (Michel & Schertges), a research report on Contingencies for Intercultural Dialogue in Virtual Space (Wang), a historical portrait on Jan Floris de Jongh (Riga) and a book review on Malcolm Payne: The Origins of Social Work: Continuity and Change (Schmoller).
For your information:
From the next issue on, SW&S will offer you a new journal structure of Special Issues: Articles, the essay, research reports and book reviews will be focused on one specific topic.
Additional articles on question of Social Work and Society are still possible and very welcome, of course.
All colleagues are heartily invited to submit papers for SW&S in general and for the special issue topics in particular (submission under Information for Authors on the SW&S-Website).
- Issue 1 (2008): “Re- and De-Territorialization of the Social” (submission till March, 31th)
- Issue 2 (2008): “Marginalized Youth” (submission till October, 31th)
Enjoy your SW&S-readings!
Sincerly yours,
Fabian Kessl & Hans-Uwe Otto,
