The new SW&S-Issue is now available! SW&S is very pleased to offer all readers again a great selection of excellent international papers. We are proud to present you a new SW&S-Special Issue on “Orphan Care”, edited by Joanne Bailey from the University of Houston- Downtown. Orphan care is a major international challenge in social policy and social work at the beginning of the 21st century. Four case studies focus on this development using the example of Botswana (Maundeni), Brazil (Garcia & Fernandez), China (Liu & Zhu) and Russia (Schmidt). In his opening paper Tatek Abebe gives a general overview on the topic.
SW&S assumes that this SW&S Special Issue will forward analytically and politically the international discussions in social work and social policy on this major policy trend.
